Had there not been a restaurant in harmony whit this beautiful environment,on this wonderful waterfront with its fantastic wiews, we should have invented one.Luckily Mr Costantino Caruccio had the idea and was strongly supported by his son Ferdinando (the present owner). Ferdinando, having travelled for so long as a representative of spirits and liquers, was bound to stop at restaurant for his meals and that is how he got to know a lot about restaurant.

"il Gambero" restaurant was set up in june 1975 on the San Marco watherfront and soon became very popular for its fish dishes.So the Caruccio family could indulce their passion for catering.
Today, this roomy,elegant, unique restaurant can boast about 120 places and has got a very well equipped kitchen,where Martina,the owner's wife,prepares her very popullar fish dishes,that, as Giuseppe Ripa puts it, remind us of the fine dishes of the good old times.
